Changing Seasons

Around here the seasons are changing. As much as I absolutely adore summer, I have to admit that I am almost ready for fall. I won't say the same about winter, because I could almost do without that season completely. However, I am really enjoying opening the windows to the cool evening breezes, bundling up the kids for chilly morning runs, and most of all I am enjoying not sweating every time I walk outside. There are so many things that I love about fall, and I have to share a few. Here is my short list :

All the fun fall decorations, pumpkins, harvest, seeing tractors and combines in the fields, brown corn that rustles in the breeze, bonfires, fall parties, gorgeous, colorful trees, crisp air, fresh fall fruit, cozy sweatshirts and sweaters, warm yummy fall food, hayrides, camping, and fall festivals.

We recently took some new family photo's in our back yard and a few of them turned out fairly well (everyone was looking and smiling). Check them out below.

Camping in Brown County
Over the Labor Day weekend we went camping with the Keefer's in Brown County. We had a lot of fun and the weather was beautiful. The scenery there is very pretty and there are so many spots in the park where you can look out over the treetops and see for miles. While we were there we got some hiking in, played on the campground playground, climbed the fire tower (well at least Bob and Ben did), checked out the nature center, and took an evening hayride. Ben and Maggie really enjoyed playing with their cousins. The best part may have been the food. Each family made a different meal and it was delicious! I really enjoyed only having to cook one meal all weekend! Check out our pictures below.

Just Like Big Brother
Lately Maggie has been trying her hardest to imitate Ben. Everything he does, she wants to try too. Some of the times it bothers him when she takes a toy he was playing with, but I think that he enjoys it most of the time. It amazes me how much she learns from him everyday. She is becoming quite the smart little cookie, just like her big brother.

Wedding Weekend
Recently Bob's cousin Sarah got married in Ohio. The wedding was beautiful! Sarah was the perfect glowing bride, and her new husband Sean seemed very in love. The bride and groom were also both celebrating their birthdays on their wedding day. They were so creative and had party hats for all the guests, and they had a fabulous ice cream sundae bar to go along with their wedding cake. We made a weekend of our trip to Ohio and took the kids to a fun science museum on Sunday.

Here is the whole gang at the kids' table.

A rare shot of Bob and I alone.

Here we are with the beautiful bride and groom.
Congratulations Sarah and Sean!

Ben looked so cute in his party hat.

The Best Man and Molly the Maid of Honor

I tried all night to get a nice family shot while we were
all dressed up and these two were the best we got. For some reason
I could not get both kids to look at the camera at the same time.
